The 2nd major release for Woocommerce is coming, code named zipping zebra. Is your website ready? There are a lot of new features in this update. One of the biggest ones is the Shipping Zones being added to the core. The old shipping methods are still going to work, but you will want to start phasing these out.

The new My Account area has new shortcodes for tabbed information, and a ton of new templates specific to the 2.6 update. The cart page operations now use AJAX (updating item quantities, removing cart items, applying coupons, and updating shipping options). There is a new filter by reviews feature.

With 14,173,092 downloads WooCommerce powers over 37% of all online stores. Major releases like this should be handled by an actual web person. I’m expecting to fix a lot of broken e-commerce websites in the next few months.
